Boschetti Family Vineyards are located in the world famous Russian River Valley American Viticultural Area (AVA).
In 1983 the Russian River Valley American Viticultural Area (AVA) became an approved viticultural area. As of October 11, 2005 the expansion of the Russian River Valley AVA formally became law and this expansion increased the AVA total acreage by 30,200 acres to 126,600 by recognizing previously overlooked portions of the fog regions. Presently the Russian River AVA is over 150 square miles, which includes over 15,000 total acres planted to premium wine grape vineyards.
Boschetti Family Vineyards diverse growing conditions include cool morning fog which turns to warm afternoons, producing grapes with depth and concentrated fruit flavors.
The majority of the vineyards are dry farmed which encourages the vine’s roots to dig deep into the earth in search of water. The deeper and larger the root systems, the more contact with various nutrients, minerals, and micro-organisms.
For three generations, The Boschetti Family has grown premium wine grapes at their Russian River Valley ranch. Zinfandel is the primary varietal planted with some vines dating back 100 years. The most current generation has planted the desirable Pinot Noir varietal which produces lush, food-friendly wines. In addition, there are also several rows of older Merlot vines. Grapes are sold to exceptional wineries in both Sonoma and Napa Counties.
